Rabat, Morocco - Sunday May 23, 2010
WorldStreams had the pleasure of having a brief chat with jazz musician and composer Omar Sosa while he was preparing to play at the Festival Mawazine in Rabat, Morocco. Special thanks to Abderrahim El Amrani and Saadeddinne El Amrani.
One of the most versatile, creative jazz artists on the scene today. Omar Sosa is a composer, arranger, producer, pianist, percussionist, and bandleader. Omar fuses a wide range of world music and electronic elements with his native Afro-Cuban roots to create a fresh and original urban sound - all with a Latin jazz heart. WorldStreams Radio also did an hour interview with Omar Sosa in October 2009.
