Gingger Shankar is an extraordinarily gifted singer, virtuoso violinist, composer, model and songwriter, and was born into one of the world’s most acclaimed and influential musical families.

Most recently, Gingger composed music for the critically acclaimed 2011 Sundance U.S. Dramatic Competition nominee ‘Circumstance‘ directed by award winning Filmmaker Maryam Keshavarz. She currently finished work on ‘Homecoming’ a feature film by Sean Hackett, ‘Bedouin’ a feature film by Igor Voloshin and ‘The Missing Tomb’ a special for National Geographic directed by Tony Gerber.

As a solo artist, Gingger is dedicated to stretching her boundaries and spreading her wings, always experimenting with elegant and exciting mixtures of sounds. She weaves an intricate tapestry of musical styles that entrances audiences worldwide, and the grace and beauty of her creative presence continue to be the golden thread running through every song she touches. She is currently working on several film scores, finishing work on her new album, and continues to perform select dates.
