Israeli born, New York City based guitar guru Roni Ben-Hur is widely respected by his peers, by jazz educational institutions and by the press as one of the 'elite players in jazz today". His signature sound infuses jazz with melodies and rhythms from many cultures. His 2009 release Fortuna gained unanimous raves as another fine chapter in his swinging and emotionally gripping book of jazz.

Building on a foundation of his many years performing with jazz legends, and teaching in top institutions, Ben-Hur, who authored the popular Talk Jazz Guitar' and releases a new instructional DVD in Fall of 2010, works primarily as a band leader and jazz educator these days, heading up a variety of jazz camps and performing at festivals and concert venues internationally.

For Ben-Hur, jazz is not only a calling, it is a life force. Along with being a prodigious player, composer, arranger and bandleader, Ben-Hur has truly dedicated himself to educating others about the joys and rewards of playing jazz and, in turn, has done as much to generate a new audience, and new players, for this music as anyone on the scene.
